One Piece Villains: Villains That Put Up a Good Fight

The One Piece manga and anime series are legendary for having an enormous array of characters, and plenty of those characters are terribly literate. This is not limited to the heroes; the series has some incredible villains who have left a strong impression on each of the viewers as well as the series as a whole. The sheer quantity of villains within the series makes it tough to decide on a favorite.

1 - Donquixote Doflamingo

Donquixote Doflamingo

Doflamingo is far from being the most powerful or dangerous character in One Piece's world, but he quite makes up for it by being unbelievably devious and stone-cold evil. At a young age, he bestowed Mariejois with his father's head; and once they denied him entry, he began a whole campaign to mess with all parties on the planet. He blackmailed his way into changing into a military leader, took over his family's previous kingdom through bloody means, expedited drug and weapons trafficking across the planet, and even turned folks into toys. He screams evil.

2 - Akainu

Akainu

Despite being a Navy Admiral, Akainu shows no real interest in protecting the people of the planet. He's a believer in Absolute Justice, and his utmost priority is to confirm that his philosophy prevails. In the Battle of Ohara, Akainu nonchalantly destroyed a whole ship that was carrying the civilians of Ohara. At Marineford, Akainu manipulated Squared into stabbing Whitebeard, and anon, he killed Ace. However, his Magu Magu no Mi Devil Fruit turns his body into boiling rock that's not possible to defeat in combat. His strength enabled him to defeat Whitebeard. With 2 varieties of Haki to bolster his physical strength, Akainu also sports a tiny low dagger and a red-hilted katana that he uses to deliver swift justice wherever he goes. Even though opponents do land blows, Akainu's superior sturdiness and stamina make him nearly impossible to survive.

3 -
Marshall D. Teach

Marshall D. Teach

He's the captain of Blackbeard’s crew, as a former subordinate of Whitebeard. When defeating and delivering Portuguese D. Ace to the Navy, he's accepted into the Fleet of Seven to intercept the fallen crocodilian reptile. He then uses this position to interrupt into Impel Down jail and recruit a number of the most dangerous prisoners in history, then resigns. Together with his new crew, he intervenes in the Battle of Marineford and, when killing Whitebeard, steals his power and takes his place as a member of the Four Emperors.

4 - Kaido

Kaido

Kaido is the captain of the Beast Pirates and a former Yonko, hailed as the World's Strongest Creature. He started his pirate career as an apprentice with the Rocks Pirates, where he befriended their mother, who gave him the Fish-Fish Fruit Model: Azure Dragon, a rare Mythological Zoan. Kaido created Wano Country as his property, driving back Oden and also the Red Scabbards who tried to prevent him. Kaido includes a violent perspective and has acted cruelly towards kids like Momonosuke or his self-declared son, Yamato. He solely praises people who have exceptional strength, like the five Supernovas from the Worst Generation, who challenged him throughout the Onigashima raid.

5 - Buggy the Clown

Buggy the Clown

Although he was quite fearful, he was able to survive with Roger’s crew to the island before Laugh Tale. Because he had become ill just before going there, neither he nor Shanks were able to make it to Laugh Tale. It's unknown if he is aware of the story of the Missing Century with all its implications, despite everything. Buggy ate the Bara Bara no Mi, or Fruit of Fragmentation, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that permits its users to cut loose their limbs and manage them on an individual basis. He will even make them fly. His feet are fastened to the bottom, and any part of his body should be placed within 200 metres of his feet; otherwise, this half becomes inert, and Buggy will no longer be able to manage it. He appears to be the sole One Piece character (so far) who will stand up to Mihawk’s attacks and thus afford to face him up. This could be one of the reasons why the planet's government was determined to call him one of the seven powerful corsair captains, which might make him stronger than everybody thinks. Consistent with Brandnew, the buggy has become far more powerful.

Big Mom

The Big Mother is the main antagonist of the full Cake Island arc. She managed to destroy Elbaf, the mother country of giants, once she was simply a baby. She has the facility of the Soru Soru no Mi, which permits her to steal the souls of others and transfer them to inanimate objects. This ability permits her to form homies who will fight by her side. As a result, her entire crew consists of her kids, as she isn't too trusting of others. When angered, a massive mother becomes a pitiless pirate and can even kill her kids if they dare to face her in her manner.

7 - Sir Crocodile

Sir Crocodile

Crocodile was the primary villain in the series to actually offer Luffy a run for his money. Whereas enemies of the past could have given him a tough time, they never outright defeated him. Crocodile, on the other hand/hook, managed to takedown Luffy a handful of times, with Luffy's ability to still breathe just about leaving a lot more to Deus ex Machina than any strength of his own. The Crocodile additionally concocted one of the most important schemes for the series early: by showing brains, brawn, and even swagger in equal measure, the Crocodile actually shows how he earned his military leader standing.
