Japanese manga author and illustrator Yoshihiro Togashi is the author of the Hunter x Hunter series. The story focuses on a young boy named Gon Freecss who discovers that his father, who left him at a young age, is truly a world-renowned hunter, a certified expert that specializes in fantasy activities like finding undiscovered or rare animal species, discovering hidden treasures, exploring uncharted territories, or hunting down criminals. Gon sets out on a quest to become a hunter and ultimately find his father. Gon encounters the paranormal and runs into a number of other hunters along the way.

1 - Gon Freecss

Gon Freecss is a friendly boy. He becomes one of the primary individuals to beat Greed Island, helps stop the Chimera Ants, and uses his cousin Alluka's special talents to heal the dying Gon. As Gon is on the point of meeting Ging, Killua decides to go half way and travel the globe with Alluka.

3 - Kurapika

Kurapika is the sole survivor of the Kurta kin, a race with loved irises that flip scarlet in times of anger or emotional turmoil. The entire Kurta clan was exterminated by the Phantom organization, a criminal organization that deconsecrated their bodies by stealing their scarlet eyes and selling them on the black market. He participates in the Hunter test aboard Gon, Leorio, and Killua so as to become a Blacklist Hunter and gain the resources to require payback for his individuals and retrieve their eyes. Despite his morals, Kurapika isn't above aligning himself with society's underworld—as soon as the opportunity presents itself, he aligns himself with the Nostrade mafia family and quickly becomes head of Nostrade's bodyguards. Commonly intelligent, quick-thinking, and sensible, upon sight of a spider, the image of the Phantom organization, he becomes infuriated. He kills Uvogin, causes Pakunoda to be invited to affix the Zodiacs as the "Rat" at Leorio's recommendation, and solely accepts upon being told that Tserriednich Hui Guo Rou has the last batch of eyes that he must retrieve. This results in his incidental Wobble Hui Guo Rou to the Dark Continent as her bodyguard.


4 - Leorio Paradinight

Leorio Paradinight could be a young adult befriending Gon, Kurapika, and Killua throughout the gaseous nebula test. When losing an exponent to a curable health problem he couldn't afford the treatment for, Leorio decides to become a Hunter, seeking the massive money gains of the profession to become a doctor and treat the impoverished for free of charge. Though he's typically outshone by the genius combat talents of Gon and Killua, Leorio is quite proficient. When turning into a commissioned hunter, Leorio assists his friends in their encounter with the Phantom organization from the sidelines. He resurfaces, whereas Gon is hospitalized and enters the running to become the next Chairman of the Gaseous Nebula Association, finishing in second place. Leorio is later invited to become a member of the Zodiacs by the "Boar" and joins their expedition to the Dark Continent. Once the Black Whale finally sets sail, Leorio starts functioning at the medical facility on the lower deck below the Cheadle geographical area. Killua suspects that Leorio's Nen sort is Emission when she sees him transport a punch across an area with a hollow.
