Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana)

Happy Baby pose is also called Ananda Balasana. The pose provides an excellent stretch for your hip joints, which can get stiff from too much sitting. It's an easy pose that is often done in yoga classes and Pilates. The pose is mentally calming while physically stimulating. In the pose, you lie on your back and roll from side to side. The pose stretches your inner thighs, hamstrings, and groin.

Beginner’s Tip

If supporting your feet with your hands is difficult for you, consider holding each foot using a yoga strap that has been wrapped around the middle arch. To increase the amount of release and massage in the low back, try extending the tailbone forward and downward. The sacrum will appear broader, and bending, lifting, and sitting can cause pain in this area.

NOTE: Before you start this, consult your doctor or an exercise professional about this pose. Don't try to do it alone.

Tip To Do -

1 - Lie down on your back on the yoga mat, with your heads flat on the ground, and bend your knees toward your chest at a 90-degree angle.
Keep your feet soles up towards.
2 - Hold your feet from the inside or outside. Spread your knees apart and move them towards your armpits.
3 - Put your heels into your hands and slowly rock from side-to-side. Hold this pose for seven to ten breaths.
